Product details

When selecting a reliable backup power source for telecommunications and critical power protection applications, the FTB155-12FTB series valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery is a proven and excellent solution. As part of the FTB series developed by B.B. Battery specifically for telecommunications applications, it is available in 12V single-cell form, with a nominal capacity of up to 155 Ah (8-hour rate), covering a wide range of nominal capacities from 100 to 180 Ah to meet diverse needs. The core advantage of this battery lies in its combination of extremely long float life and high capacity, with an expected service life of up to 15 years under normal operating conditions, meeting Eurobat standards for long-life batteries. Its sturdy shell is made of impact-resistant ABS plastic, ensuring physical protection. The battery cover is firmly connected to the shell, and the terminal area is designed with a seal, effectively preventing electrolyte leakage and external contamination. The unique front terminal design is a distinctive feature of the FTB series. The terminals are located at the front of the battery, greatly simplifying the installation process in standard 19-inch or 23-inch cabinets and racks. This design not only optimizes the space arrangement of the battery pack but also greatly facilitates subsequent inspection, testing, and maintenance work, allowing easy access to all connection points from the front. The six holes on the battery cover are used for filling electrolyte during production, after which a pressure relief valve made of non-combustible material is installed. This one-way self-sealing safety valve ensures a high level of safety, effectively suppressing flames and preventing explosions, which is crucial for ensuring the long-term stable operation of the system. In terms of internal structure, FTB155-12 adopts the Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) separator technology, achieving efficient gas recombination, effectively reducing water loss, thereby ensuring the long service life of the battery. Both the positive and negative plates are coated with specially formulated paste-like coatings, combined with a rib design, which together maintain the structural integrity and electrochemical stability of the electrode group. The battery weighs approximately 55.4 kilograms and is equipped with carrying handles, facilitating handling and installation. Its compact size design allows it to be flexibly installed in horizontal and vertical positions, making it especially suitable for building a standard 48VDC configuration system in space-constrained central machine rooms or equipment cabinets. In addition to traditional telecommunications facilities, broadband networks, and power industry applications, the FTB155-12 FTB battery is also an ideal choice for medium and low power UPS systems. With its high reliability and maintenance-free features, it is widely used in railway signaling systems, on-site power sources for oil and gas extraction, fire and safety alarm systems, emergency lighting, video surveillance systems, and access control systems. It also performs exceptionally well in backup power for medical equipment, renewable energy storage systems such as solar and wind energy, and backup power supply for rural estates, hotels, and shops. It can even play an important role in some specific auxiliary power scenarios for electric vehicles. With a capacity range from 100 Ah to 180 Ah, a design life of 15 years, and an optimized design for rack mounting, the FTB series provides long-lasting, safe, and easy-to-deploy power protection for various critical infrastructures.
