Zelus GBS12/33B.B. battery is a VRLA gel battery in the GBS series. It adopts a gel electrolyte formed by mixing sulfuric acid and silica fume, which has a fixed characteristic, effectively eliminating common problems of wet batteries such as electrolyte evaporation, overflow, and subsequent corrosion. Its valve adjustment system allows gas to be discharged, and at the same time, antimony in the lead plate is replaced by calcium, reducing gas generation while maintaining mechanical properties and enhancing the stability of the battery.
This battery has various advantages: developed with solid lead coating technology and gel electrolyte, as a deep-cycle lead-acid battery, it can provide maximum capacity and discharge cycles;It has an expected service life of up to 12 years under normal working conditions, with up to 2500 cycles (which is very long life according to Eurobat standards); the electrolyte is completely filled with gel, heat can be easily conducted to the case, and it can effectively prevent acid stratification; maintenance-free design without water supplementation, low self-discharge rate, with a capacity loss of less than 2% per month; the precise opening and closing pressure distribution of the special valve is crucial for the battery (cycle) life, ensuring long-lasting performance even in high-temperature environments.The GBS series batteries are produced in 6V or 12V integral form, with a capacity range of 7 to 225Ah (capacity is based on C2, C5, C8, C10, C20, C100 standards, depending on the series), and can be installed horizontally or vertically.
