Zelus GBS6/215B.B. battery is a member of the GBS series gel electrolyte VRLA battery. It uses a mixture of sulfuric acid and silicon ash to form a gel fixed electrolyte, effectively eliminating common problems such as electrolyte evaporation, overflow, and subsequent corrosion in wet batteries. Antimony in the lead plate is replaced by calcium, reducing gas generation while maintaining mechanical properties. The valve adjustment system can safely discharge gas, with stronger resistance to extreme temperatures, and impact and vibration resistance.
This battery is in a 6-volt integrated form, with a nominal capacity (10-hour rate) of 215Ah, and the capacity range covers 7-225Ah (specifically according to the series' C2, C5, C8, C10, C20, C100 standards). It supports both horizontal and vertical installation methods. The expected service life under normal working conditions is up to 12 years, and the number of cycles can reach 2500 times, meeting the long-life requirements of the Eurobat standard.
As a deep cycle lead-acid battery, GBS6/215B.B. is developed with solid lead coating technology and gel electrolyte, aiming to provide maximum capacity and discharge cycle performance.Its interior is completely filled with gel, which is beneficial for heat conduction to the shell. The gelation of the electrolyte effectively prevents acid stratification; the maintenance-free design eliminates the need for water supplementation, and the self-discharge rate is low (capacity loss less than 2% per month). The precise opening and closing pressure distribution of the special valve is crucial for extending the battery's cycle life.
