By mixing sulfuric acid with silica fume, a stable, non-flowing gel-like substance is formed. This GEL battery design almost completely avoids the common electrolyte evaporation and overflow issues of traditional flooded batteries, thereby effectively preventing the corrosion problems caused by these issues. Meanwhile, gel batteries exhibit superior performance, including stronger extreme temperature resistance, and excellent shock and vibration resistance. Its valve regulation system can safely vent the gas generated inside the battery.Structurally, it is similar to unsealed wet batteries, but the key difference is that calcium replaces antimony in the lead plates. This change, while retaining excellent mechanical properties, significantly reduces the battery's gas evolution tendency.
