The GBC12/85B.B. battery is a high-performance VRLA (valve-regulated lead-acid) gel battery in the Zelus GBC series. It adopts gel electrolyte technology, mixing sulfuric acid with silica fume to form a fixed gel-like substance, fundamentally solving the common problems of electrolyte evaporation, spillage, and subsequent corrosion in traditional wet batteries. At the same time, antimony in the battery lead plates is replaced with calcium, which greatly reduces gas generation while maintaining mechanical properties, and with the valve regulation system, it can safely discharge gas, making it more reliable to use.
As an important member of the GBC series, the GBC12/85 battery has an output voltage of 12V and a rated capacity of 85Ah (5-hour rate). The capacity range covers 5.5-180Ah (according to different discharge rates C2, C5, C8, C10, C20, C100), and supports two installation methods: horizontal and vertical, meeting the needs of various scenarios. Under normal working conditions, the expected service life of this battery is as long as 12 years, and the number of cycles is as high as 2500 times, far exceeding the industry average, and meeting the requirements of the Eurobat standard for long-life batteries.
