BPL17-12 is a high-quality valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery from the B.B. Battery BPL Series. This battery operates at an overall voltage of 12 volts, with a case made of durable, opaque, impact-resistant ABS plastic, ensuring excellent physical protection. The battery cover is tightly connected to the case, and the terminal area is effectively sealed to prevent electrolyte leakage, achieving leak-proof performance without free acid. Depending on the specific model, the terminal design varies. BPL17-12 is standardly equipped with type B1 terminals at position 7, and T2I1 type terminals are also available at position 6 as an option, providing users with flexible connection options. In the manufacturing process, the battery cover is equipped with six liquid injection holes for precisely filling the electrolyte during production, followed by installing a pressure relief valve made of non-combustible materials. This design not only ensures maintenance-free characteristics (no need for users to add water) but also provides high-level fire and explosion safety. Inside the battery, both positive and negative plates are coated with specially formulated pasty active materials, and absorbent glass fiber separator technology is used to enable efficient recombination of internal oxygen, thereby significantly reducing water loss and self-discharge rate, allowing the battery to maintain sufficient charge even after long-term storage.The nominal capacity of BPL17-12 is 17Ah (20-hour rate), with a capacity of 14.45Ah at the 5-hour rate, and it can still provide 8.5Ah of reliable power at the 30-minute rate for high-rate discharge, making it particularly suitable for application scenarios requiring backup for 30 minutes or longer. With its compact design, measuring 181mm in length, 76mm in width, and 166mm in height, and a net weight of approximately 6.15kg, combined with the flexibility of being installable in any direction (prohibited from inversion), it greatly facilitates integration and layout in various devices. In terms of application fields, BPL17-12 shows wide adaptability.It is an ideal backup power source for low-power uninterruptible power supply systems, fire and safety alarm systems, emergency lighting, and surveillance cameras.
