Product details

BPL20-12 is a 12V 20Ah valve-regulated lead-acid battery, part of B.B. Battery's BPL series. This series of batteries is produced as a whole 12V unit with a wide capacity range from 3.3Ah to 210Ah, meeting the power requirements of different application scenarios. The battery shell is made of sturdy and impact-resistant ABS plastic, effectively protecting the internal structure. The battery cover is firmly connected to the shell, with reliable sealing treatment on the terminal area to ensure overall safety and stability. The reserved hole on the battery cover is used for electrolyte filling during production, and a dedicated pressure relief valve will be installed after completion. These valves are made of non-combustible materials and can effectively release accumulated internal gases, thereby providing high-level fire and explosion safety protection, allowing users to use them with greater peace of mind. In terms of internal structure, the positive and negative plates of the BPL20-12 battery are coated with specially formulated paste active materials, and an advanced absorbent glass fiber separator technology is adopted. This technology can efficiently recombine internal oxygen and convert the generated gas back into water, thus achieving true maintenance-free operation, with no need to add electrolyte or water throughout the entire service life.Meanwhile, this design ensures there is no free acid inside the battery, fundamentally eliminating the risk of leakage, making it possible to safely install the battery in various devices and cabinets. The battery has an extremely low self-discharge rate, can maintain its charge for a long time, reducing the trouble of frequent charging. Its installation flexibility is also a highlight, supporting horizontal and vertical installation, which facilitates the spatial layout inside the equipment, but it should be noted that inversion is prohibited. In terms of technical parameters, the nominal voltage of BPL20-12 is 12 volts. Its capacity varies depending on different discharge rates. It can provide a nominal capacity of 20 Ah under 20-hour rate discharge conditions, 17 Ah at the 5-hour rate, and 10 Ah at the 30-minute rate, which requires higher instantaneous power. The battery has a compact size with dimensions of 181 mm (length), 76 mm (width), and 166 mm (height), and a total weight of approximately 6.4 kg, equivalent to 14.11 lb, making it easy to integrate into various space-constrained devices. The terminal configuration is flexible: the standard configuration is a B1-type terminal at position 7; T2 and I1 types are also available as optional terminal types, installable at position 6 to meet different wiring requirements. The BPL20-12 battery is designed for a long service life. Under normal operating conditions, the expected lifespan of BPL series batteries can reach 12 years, meeting Eurobat's standards for long-life batteries. Its reliability and durability make it an ideal choice for numerous critical backup power applications. It is particularly suitable for scenarios requiring 30 minutes or longer backup time. Typical application areas include low-power UPS systems, fire and security alarm systems, emergency lighting, and security monitoring systems. Additionally, it is widely used in access control systems, various medical electronic devices, fishing lights, lawn mowers, and consumer electronics such as cameras. In the industrial and commercial sectors, it can provide stable power support for telecommunications facilities, oil and gas extraction equipment, rural estates, hotel, catering, and retail store equipment, as well as renewable energy systems such as solar and wind energy.
