Product details
BPL85-12 is a 12V VRLA sealed lead-acid battery from the BPL series of B.B. Battery. The capacity of this series ranges widely from 3.3 Ah to 210 Ah to meet the power requirements of different application scenarios. Its sturdy shell is made of impact-resistant ABS plastic, effectively protecting the internal structure. The battery cover is firmly connected to the main body, and a reliable sealing design is applied in the terminal area; the specific terminal type depends on the series and model. During production, the electrolyte is injected through six reserved holes on the battery cover, and then a pressure relief valve made of non-combustible materials is installed. This key design not only enables maintenance-free operation without the need for regular water replenishment, but also ensures high-level fire and explosion safety, while eliminating the risk of free acid leakage.
This battery adopts advanced technical processes. Both positive and negative plates are coated with specially formulated paste-like coatings, and combined with the absorbent glass fiber separator technology, efficient internal gas recombination is achieved, thus controlling the capacity loss caused by monthly self-discharge to below 3%, significantly improving the usability after long-term storage. The nominal capacity of BPL85-12 is 85 Ah at the 20-hour rate, 72.25 Ah at the 5-hour rate, and 42.5 Ah, making it particularly suitable for applications requiring 30 minutes or longer backup time. Its dimensions are 329 mm in length, 172 mm in width, 215 mm in height, with a total height of 238 mm, and a weight of approximately 31.2 kg. The battery is equipped with standard B3-type terminals, terminal position 15, and I2-type terminals are also available as an option, providing users with flexible connection options. For easy installation and handling, the battery is also equipped with a practical carrying handle.
In terms of installation, BPL85-12 shows high flexibility and can be safely installed horizontally and vertically, but note that it must not be used upside down. Based on the Eurobat standard, the BPL series batteries can have an expected service life of up to 12 years under normal operating conditions, which is a long-life design. With these characteristics, it has become an ideal choice in many fields requiring reliable backup power. Its typical applications include providing stable power for low-power uninterruptible power supplies, fire and safety alarm systems, emergency lighting and monitoring systems, access control, and various medical devices. Additionally, it is widely applicable to power grids, the power industry, mining, oil and gas industries, telecommunications facilities, rural estates, hotel, catering, and retail store equipment, renewable energy systems such as solar and wind energy, as well as auxiliary power for electric vehicles. Its leak-proof, maintenance-free, low self-discharge, and high-safety features ensure long-term stable operation in various environments.
