B.B. Battery's BPS17-12 is a high-quality valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery, part of the BPS series. This series of batteries is manufactured in 12V units with a wide capacity range from 5Ah to 230Ah, meeting the power requirements of various application scenarios. The BPS17-12 model's battery case is made of sturdy, durable, opaque, impact-resistant ABS plastic, ensuring structural integrity during transportation and use.The battery cover is firmly connected to the case, and the terminal area is carefully sealed to effectively prevent electrolyte leakage. Terminal types vary depending on the specific series and model; for example, the BPS17-12 standard configuration is a B1 terminal (compatible with M5 bolts and nuts), with T2 and I1 terminals available as optional configurations, providing users with flexible connection options. This battery is designed with full consideration for safety and reliability. The battery cover has six filling holes for electrolyte filling during production, followed by the installation of a pressure relief valve made of non-combustible materials. This pressure relief valve design ensures a high level of fire and explosion safety for the battery under abnormal conditions.The battery uses Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology inside, achieving efficient gas recombination, making it a truly maintenance-free battery without the need for regular water addition. Its nominal capacity is 17.0 Ah at a 20-hour rate (termination voltage 1.75V/cell), 16.15 Ah at a 10-hour rate, and 14.45 Ah at a 5-hour rate, demonstrating stable discharge performance.The internal resistance of the battery is approximately 16 milliohms when fully charged, with a maximum discharge current of 255 amps within 5 seconds and a maximum charging current of 5.1 amps. Its working temperature range is wide: 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F) for charging, -20°C to 50°C (-4°F to 122°F) for discharging, and -20°C to 40°C (-4°F to 104°F) for storage, suitable for various environmental conditions. The monthly self-discharge rate of the battery is extremely low, less than 3% of its capacity, allowing it to maintain sufficient charge even during long-term standby.
