This battery is produced with an overall voltage of 12V, with a nominal capacity of 20.0 Ah at a 20-hour rate, 19 Ah at a 10-hour rate, and 17 Ah at a 5-hour rate, fully meeting energy requirements under different discharge rates. The battery casing is made of sturdy, impact-resistant opaque ABS plastic, ensuring good physical protection. The battery cover is firmly connected to the casing, and the terminal area is sealed, providing excellent leak-proof performance.The six holes on the battery cover are used for electrolyte filling during production; the pressure relief valve made of non-combustible materials installed subsequently significantly improves the product's fire and explosion safety rating.
The BPS20-12BPS battery adopts Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) technology, achieving efficient gas recombination, thus truly being maintenance-free without the need for regular electrolyte addition. Its extremely low monthly self-discharge rate is less than 3% of the capacity, allowing the battery to maintain a fully charged state even after long-term storage. The battery supports horizontal and vertical installation, providing great flexibility for the internal space layout of equipment, but it should be noted that it cannot be used upside down.
This battery's design balances long service life and high performance. Under normal operating conditions, its expected service life can exceed 12 years, meeting Eurobat's definition of a long-life battery. Its internal resistance is only 11 milliohms when fully charged, capable of supporting a maximum discharge current of 300 amperes for 5 seconds, with a maximum charging current of 6.0 amperes. The battery has a wide operating temperature range: 0°C to 40°C for charging, -20°C to 50°C for discharging, and -20°C to 40°C for storage, ensuring reliable operation under various climate conditions.
In terms of application scenarios, the BPS20-12BPS series batteries are ideal power sources for low-power uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), fire and safety alarm systems, emergency lighting, monitoring systems, access control, and various medical equipment. The product offers multiple terminal options to meet different connection requirements. The standard terminal is type B1, equipped with M5 bolts and nuts, with an initial tightening torque of 2.5 N·m ±5%. Users can also optionally choose T2 or I1 type terminals; the initial tightening torque for I1 terminals is 4.0 N·m ±5%. For applications with higher fire protection requirements, the BPS20-12FR model with a flame-retardant ABS material casing meeting UL 94-V0 standard is available as an option.
The battery has a compact physical size: length is approximately 181 mm, width is 76 mm, container height and total height are both 166 mm, making it easy to integrate into various devices.
